Chief executive officer Meiny Prins joined Priva in 2003, having previously been active as the founder and managing director of a successful design and communications agency.
In March 2009, Meiny Prins was proclaimed winner of the Prix Veuve Clicquot 2009, and thus became Business Woman of the Year 2009. In November 2009, Meiny Prins with Priva won the first Cleantech Star of the World Wildlife Fund. Priva was awarded this prize by the Dutch division of the WWF because Priva is consistently making its mark in the clean technology sector. The deciding factor here was the significant contribution Priva is making in the area of innovation, economic potential and CO2 reduction.
Meiny Prins devotes herself to promoting business sustainability and the international development of (greenhouse) horticulture. She is a much sought-after authority in this field, and members of the Dutch government consider her to be a leading voice on sustainability issues. With her clear, inspirational message on sustainability, she bridges the divide between companies, governments and sectors.
Meiny Prins is a member of the Dutch Trade Board and of the FME, the technology industry entrepreneurs’ association (including the CleanTech Advisory Board), she is a member of the Supervisory Board of Triodos Bank, and she is co-initiator of developments related to the Greenport.
