Gary Jinks

President, GLJ Group

Gary has worked with a wide range of companies, from early stage startups to large corporate enterprises. During my corporate tenure I developed complex advanced technologies, managed multi-million dollar budgets, and developed high performance teams. After 20 years in a formal, regimented Six Sigma, TQM and ISO environment I jumped onto the Silicon Valley entrepreneurial bandwagon in the early days of the DotCom. I concluded this phase of my career successfully leading Rockwell Collins entry into the Army ground market.

In 2005 I went out on my own creating GLJ Group where I have captured over $200M in new business for clients while only losing 1 proposal. In 2011 I created South Valley Angels to provide funding, create innovation and local jobs. Over the last five years I have been working primarily with entrepreneurs and early stage startups. I am very active in the Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem, regularly mentoring for Santa Clara University, teaching workshops at College of San Mateo, Hult Business School, guest speaker Draper University and panelist at various venues in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I graduated from the US Army NCO Academy; Systems Engineering Analysis at Portland State University, and hold a BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix
